We started out making our own candles in our shed. We would go to shows to sell our candles, and loved the atmosphere of the people. We started talking about a brick and mortar store. We looked for the right building, nothing too big. We wanted a small quaint building one we could move into and open our candle store. We settled on a little building here in Lock Haven, Pa. We bought it and had a fire within two months of purchasing it. We were devastated but we would not give up on our dream. It was a long process but we rebuilded it and our two sons helped Thomas and Kenny. We opened it in May of 2025. Just down the street a place was up for rent; it was a restaurant at one time. As a family we decided to rent it and open an eatery. The idea of a mercantile started to develop. I always wanted to live in a town and be able to walk to places to eat and shop and enjoy the festivals and entertainment of a small town’s style. People need the social life it brings to be around others and talk and share their lives. I want to be able to bring great food to the town at a reasonable price. A place where they feel comfortable and be able to buy things that are not easily found Specialty foods. Hand made gifts, foods, and so much more.
